As Borders Girls’ Rugby second season draws to a close, we can celebrate what we have achieved and look to improve next season. We achieved our first silverware – the Under 16 East/West League – and went on our first tour – to New Tredegar RFC, Wales. Our Under 18s have struggled with numbers (like many of our female and male counterparts within the east region) though the end of season exhibition match between Edinburgh / Midlothian and East Lothian / Borders saw Robyn, Sop

Our raffle to fund-raise for our Wales tour has been very well supported. Thank you to everyone who has bought a ticket. While the weather has been making our washing machines work overtime, our girls have been back on the pitch. Before that though, we were at Murrayfield parading our League Winner trophy round the pitch during the 1872 Cup as Edinburgh played Glasgow in the URC. January saw a welcome return to rugby for our Under 18s, competing in a combined side versus Currie. Our numbers are rising, but slowly. Looking back on 2025 we can be proud of many things this year, as well as look to improve things for next year. Thank you to all players, coaches, helpers, parents and sponsors for their continued support.
